Topic: How to allow the client to idle on the server

I tried to edit d2cs.conf

idletime        =    0

I changed to 0 because it says infinite for 0 value but still after 3-4-5 minutes of idle on the server it says I lost connection to battle.net. What I mean by idle is when you quit a game that you created or when you log in and after you select a character.

So, if idletime does not do that what actually does and how to make the idle value higher or infinite?

I also share your doubt. I would like to increase this idle time in PvPGN.

The game lose connection on idle exactly after 5 minutes, so my guess is one of the option that has value 300 seconds in d2cs but I don't know which one.

s2s_idletime        =    300
sq_timeout        =    300
sq_checkinterval    =    300
listpurgeinterval    =    300

Anyone some help? If not I will test them tomorrow to see which one is for the idle.

As you can see in code,"idletime" is used only here. A client should disconnect with a message "client ... idled too long std::time, destroy it".

Which message is in log when a client disconnected by idle time?

Do not ask for support in PM.

You lost connection to battle.net, something like that, and if you click ok you are automatically logged out from the account and you must log in again in order to connect again to the server.

Server side log, not a client.

Actually, in the old version 1.8.5 of the PvPGN there was no disconnection. This came after 1.9+.

One example is you stay inactive for a few minutes on the main channel. Soon will appear a message that you have been disconnected and you will return to the characters screen.

At least this is an experience I have with my server.

After you create a game and save and exit if you idle for a while in the menu, it will get this:

How can change this idle time? Sometimes when you click ok you are automatically disconnected from the server and redirected to the login screen, sometimes stay logged in but you are redirected to the character selection screen.

Interesting is that you lose the connection if you are in the first screen attached (no games view)

But if you select "Join", with the games on the screen, it doesn't disconnect
