Topic: connecting to IP address OK but FQDN fail

I created a pvpgn server with FQDN like 123456name.zicp.vip, a dynamic DNS host. Using Starcraft Broodwar, I can connect to the server using IP address, but using FQDN it returns "unable connect to battle.net" almost instantly. It seems a DNS problem, however I checked network traffic with Wireshark, it does not initiate any DNS request at all. Testing another server like pvpgn.bnetdocs.org will initiate DNS request and work well. And other service as FTP on the same host (visiting by FQDN) works well too. Changing DNS servers do not help.

Could it be that Starcraft don't like FQDN beginning with numbers? Any hint?

I'm going to have a guess that it is likely the dynamic DNS host you are using. Why not use something like duckdns, see if that works?

The Xiaomi router only support oray (using), pubyun, dyndns, no-ip. I could try other DDNS service, but I doubt some of them will not work in china. And the weird thing is, Starcraft does not query the DNS at all!
