Topic: D2GS Closed Realm issue - Failed to Join Game... [SOLVED]
Hello,
I'm determined... again. I have set up a closed realm server using PvPGN and D2GS on one Windows 7 PC using Diablo II v1.13c. I am able to connect to the server from inside (using a separate PC within the LAN network port 16112)and outside the server's network (external). I can create games in Open Bnet from both within and outside of the server's network. I can connect to the closed realm from both inside and outside the server's network, however I cannot create games in the closed realm. I get the "You are in line to create game" message.
I have noticed that PvPGN, D2CS, and D2GS seem to be communicating with each other. It looks like D2DBS is just "waiting for connections..." I don't see any obvious communication between D2DBS and any of the other three.
I'm getting this from the D2SVC log:
01/22 02:14:49.924 RunServer: Using CmdLine "D2GS.EXE"
01/22 02:14:49.924 RunServer: Server started successfully, process id: 3144
01/22 02:14:50.735 D2GSControler: D2GS Server is not running
01/22 02:14:50.735 GetConfigs: Can't open registry key '\\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\D2Server\D2GS'
01/22 02:14:50.735 RunServer: Using CmdLine "D2GS.EXE"
01/22 02:14:50.735 RunServer: Server started successfully, process id: 2284
01/22 02:14:51.546 D2GSControler: D2GS Server is not running
01/22 02:14:51.546 GetConfigs: Can't open registry key '\\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\D2Server\D2GS'
01/22 02:14:51.546 RunServer: Using CmdLine "D2GS.EXE"
01/22 02:14:51.562 RunServer: Server started successfully, process id: 3908
01/22 02:14:52.373 D2GSControler: D2GS Server is not running
I am trying to locate the debug log for D2GS, but when I look in the D2GS log directory, every log .txt file is blank.
EDIT: Ok, I found this pvpgn.wikia.com/wiki/How_to_get_ … _7_64-bit) and followed the instructions. The server is running now. D2GS is running. D2SVC log now reads:
01/22 03:06:14.634 ServerSetParameter: set working directory to "C:\Users\Administrator\Desktop\D2GS Server Files"
01/22 03:06:14.852 D2GSControler: started, process id 1660
01/22 03:06:14.852 D2GSControler: D2GS Server is not running
01/22 03:06:14.883 RunServer: Using CmdLine "D2GS.EXE"
01/22 03:06:14.899 RunServer: Server started successfully, process id: 3744
D2DBS now seems to be communicating. When I connect both internally and externally to the closed realm, I am no longer getting the "You are in line to create game" message. I am now getting "Failed to Join."
I can provide logs from D2CS, D2BS, and BNETD in a PM. Thanks for any help.
EDIT2: Boom. I got it working. I disabled my Windows firewall on the server PC and I can now connect to the closed realm internally and externally. Fantastic.
I will include my configuration files here:
