Topic: [Solved] Open server games closing when game maker quits
Hello,
I am using PvPGN and enjoying Open-bnet Diablo 2 games within my own LAN connection (I need a break from D2GS for a while). I have a question, though. Is it normal for the whole room to close out when the maker of the game quits? For me, it is happening similar to a TCP/IP game. Say I make a room and someone else joins. When I quit the game, the room closes out and kicks the other person out and back into chat. Is this the way it is supposed to happen with Open-bnet games? Thanks for any help.
Oh, and thank you for PvPGN. It is great to have the chat lobby for LAN games!

Ok, I answered my own question. That is the way Open bnet games are designed. The maker of the game becomes the "server" and when he quits the game, it closes out. Like a TCP/IP connection. I never played Open bnet games on Battle.net realms. I didn't know this is how it is supposed to work.
